Masters in Digital technologies for international students at UCA

International Masters in Computer Science and Autonomous Systems

At UCA, international students get many possibilities to study digital technologies and foundations of these. Most of the possibilities described below are attached to the Digital Systems for Humans Graduate school, DS4H.

The international track of the Master 1 in Computer Science is an offered English list of courses from the Master 1 Informatique, designed for international students although French speaking students are welcome provided their English level is good enough (B2 or IELTS 5.5) to follow the courses. There is no need to add that studying away from home country is an excellent life-changing experience which helps in personal developement.

The Master 1 program FCS (described on this website, but needing to be updated) is the first year of the Master degree studies. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be allowed to pursue in one of the Master 2 computer science programs offered at the UCA, hosted either by Sciences Faculty, or Polytech Nice-Sophia engineering school.

The Master 2 Informatique offers several tracks in various fields of CS and IT. Among them, one international track is entirely taught in English: Ubinet (Ubiquitous Networking and Computing).

Students of partner universities having an agreement with the Université Nice-Sophia Antipolis / Université Côte d'Azur are welcomed and this track can also be validated in their country of origin (see Double Diploma sections in this web site).

Since 2015, a track of the Master 1 program has been designed for the Data Science (DSC) first year of the EIT Digital Master school. This program, more specific and data science oriented, is offered to students who are registered in the European program Data Science of the EIT Digital Master School  (see http://www.masterschool.eitdigital.eu/dsc for the application and  specificities for this master). UCA proposes too a second year in Data Science for EIT Digital only. It hosts students from EIT Digital that studied during the Master 1 in a Data Science (DSC) first year of the EIT Digital Master in Data science.

From Automn 2020, a new track corresponding to a master 1 level has been especially designed for the Autonomous systems (AUS) first year of the EIT Digital Master school. This program is  grounded on the Electronic Systems engineering speciality of the UCA Polytech Engineering School. It is offered to students who are registered in the European program Autonomous Systems of the EIT Digital Master School  (see http://www.masterschool.eitdigital.eu/aus for the application and  specificities for this Autonomous Systems master). On the Sophia Antipolis campus, UCA does not propose  a second year curriculum in Autonomous Systems for EIT Digital, because Eurecom hosts one, in collaboration with UCA in the frame of EIT Digital. This means that EIT Digital students that studied during the Autonomous Systems  (AUS) first year of the EIT Digital Master school at UCA will have to leave for another partner university country to continue their master level studies.

Also from Automn 2020, a variant of the Master 1 program in Data Science of the EIT Digital Master school has been designed for FinTech. It will also be complemented by a Master 2 FinTech track in 2021, attached to the same  EIT Digital track of the Computer Science master of UCA. These FinTech programs are grounded on the Sciences Informatique 4th and 5th years of UCA Polytech Engineering School, and on the Polytch 5th year Computer Science and Applied maths shared speciality : Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées à la Finance et à l'Assurance (IMAFA).
