International Master in Computer Science
The international track of the Master 1 in Computer Science is an English version of M1 IFI (Informatique Fondements et Ingénierie) designed for international students although French speaking students are welcome provided they English level is good enough (B2 or IELTS 5.5) to follow the courses. Informatics is a fast growing discipline which aims to study the representation, processing and communicating the information in the natural and engineered systems. The main outcome of this master is to allow the students to expand their range of professional interests within the domain of informatics such as (front-end, back-end developer, data scientists, etc...) and to teach them a logical and critical approach to problem solving. There is no need to add that studying away from home country is an excellent life-changing experience which helps in personal developement.
The Master 1 program is the first year of the Master degree studies. Upon successful completion of this program, the student will be allowed to pursue in one of the Master 2 programs offered by the Master 2 IFI of Université Nice-Sophia Antipolis (UNS), department of computer science.
The Master 2 IFI offers several tracks in various fields of CS and IT (the details can be found here). Among them, two international tracks are entirely taught in English: Ubinet (Ubiquitous Networking and Computing) and CompBio (Computational Biology and Biomedicine).
A new track of the Master 1 program has been especially designed for the Data Science (DSC) first year of the EIT Digital Master school. This program, more specific and data science oriented, is offered to students who are registered in the European program Data Science of the EIT Digital Master School (see http://www.masterschool.eitdigital.eu/ for the registration and constraints for this master). UNS proposes two additional tracks: second year in Data Science for EIT Digital master school and second year in Internet Technology (also within the framework of EIT Digital), that is really close to Ubinet track
