The EIT Digital Master Programs are two-year M.Sc. with compulsory geographical and organizational mobility for the students, including a mandatory summer school between the first and the second year. FinTech (Financial Technologies) is one of these.

The programmes consist in different majors and are run through a co-operation between 10+ of the top technical universities in Europe. The focal point of all these two-years master programme majors is that they include 30 ECTS of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) which is taught mainly during the 1st year of Master. Students have a prominent opportunity to turn the theory into practice through the participation in 2 weeks of
summer school, where most of the time is devoted to a business plan development project and to thematic presentations, company visits, and social activities.

UNS/UCA acts as both an entry (M1) and an exit (M2) point in FinTech. The program is run under the responsibility of the Polytech faculty of UNS/UCA.

Each entry student will be given opportunity to be enrolled (for free) to the Polytech Nice Sophia engineering school 4th year in
Computer Science department.
The student will be awarded a master of engineering degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur), on top of th double master degree in computer science from UCA as per the EIT Digital signed agreement, thanks to european wide credits recognition. French CTI accredited "diplôme d'ingénieur" degree is also european wide recognized by the
EUR-ACE® as master degree of Science and Engineering.
There are additional duties for being graduated with this Polytech Engineering degree:
  • enroll to French courses (without ECTS)
  • enroll to general interest tasks for the engineering school (eg. participating in student fair, in the organization of some students event, etc, summing up to a min of half-day).
  • the internship/Master thesis semester (at least 18 weeks, less than 6 months) subject must be validated by Polytech before the start, and the final report must be sent to Polytech at the end
  • the result of the internship (gained ECTS) should be received by the end of the civil year.

To confort of our strong link with the industry partners, we will invite a sponsor for each new cohort.Eg. from the local industrial actors in FinTech as WallStreet Systems, Symphony, Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur, etc.

The core of the courses of the entry point is grounded on  the Master 1 Computer Science International Track,   the
Applied Mathematics and Modelling  and the Computer Science specialities of Polytech Nice Sophia engineering school 4th year of study, to which are plugged specific Master 2 / Polytech Engineering school 5th year courses of its Informatique et Mathématiques Appliquées à la Finance et à l'Assurance (IMAFA) specialisation.

The exit point in FinTech at UCA that will open in September 2021 offers a specialization close to IMAFA, entitled Fintech for Financial and Insurance Business.
